Sukkot Autumn Harvest Celebration & Potluck
Sukkot Autumn Harvest Celebration & Potluck
Sukkot is a Jewish Holiday celebrating the autumn harvest. A Sukkah is the name of the temporary dwelling in which farmers would live during harvest season. Join us in a tradition of building the Sukkah, feasting together underneath it, and celebrating our gratitude for the seasons bounty.
This is an all ages event, children are encouraged to attend and help us build the sukkah and decorate - it is so much fun! This is an inclusive event, ANYONE from ANY background is welcome to attend, the central theme is giving thanks for the land, the farmers for growing our food and communing together in potluck. If you can’t bring a dish thats also OKAY you are still encouraged to join the feast!
Contributions can always be made on-site if you feel inclined (suggested $25/per adult) but not required). We thank you for helping make it possible for us to continue providing and maintaining our space to host community events.
2-5PM: Build the Sukkah - Art supplies and plants from the garden will be available. Also bring anything from home if you’d like to hang something special. (It will be hung for a week outside).
