CoFo Pruning Workshop
CoFo Pruning Workshop
Join us in Ry’s Orchard & Gardens for an immersive Fruit Tree Pruning Workshop in collaboration with our longtime partners at Community Foodscapes (CoFo). This hands-on gathering is designed for gardeners, homesteaders, and land stewards who want to confidently care for their fruit trees using regenerative, self-sustaining practices.
Fruit tree pruning is both an art and a science—and it’s not always intuitive. CoFo’s experienced educators bring deep knowledge in regenerative land care, guiding participants through proper pruning techniques, seasonal timing, and the “why” behind each cut. Together with Ry’s Table, we’ll explore how intentional pruning supports long-term tree health, increases fruit productivity, and strengthens the overall ecosystem.
Community Foodscapes and Ry’s Table have partnered for over five years, united by a shared commitment to foodscaping education, land stewardship, and community nourishment. This workshop is rooted in that ethos—offering practical skills, grounded knowledge, and a welcoming space to learn alongside others who care deeply about the land.
The day includes farm-to-table seasonal grazing brunch, featuring fresh, locally sourced foods, local coffee, and warm mulled cider. When available, Ry also offers plant divisions or fresh cuttings from the day’s pruning, so you may leave with living pieces to continue growing your own foodscape at home.
If you’re ready to feel empowered rather than overwhelmed in caring for your fruit trees, this workshop offers both the tools and the confidence to do so.
In This Workshop, You’ll Receive:
Hands-on fruit tree pruning skills (no guesswork!)
Regenerative techniques for healthier, more productive trees
Tools to monitor tree health & prevent disease
Knowledge of soil rehabilitation & long-term land care
Farm-to-table seasonal grazing lunch
Local coffee + warm mulled cider
Possible plant cuttings or divisions to take home
✨ Learn. Nourish. Grow. A grounded, educational day rooted in community and care for the land.
